The defending champions Real Madrid learn their group stage opponents today
- Barcelona, PSG and Dortmud and Manchester United find themselves in pot two
- The match day one group stage clashes will be played on September 12 and 13
The UEFA Champions League draw takes place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco at on Thursday 24 August, with the eight teams in Pot 1 already confirmed.

Pot 1 (holders & champions of other top eight-ranked nations): Real Madrid, Bayern München, Juventus, Benfica, Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, AS Monaco, Spartak Moskva
Pot 2: Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla, Manchester City, Porto, Manchester United

How will the draw work?
No team can play a club from their own association. The draw also establishes the groups for the UEFA Champions League path of the UEFA Youth League

When are the group stage ties?
The group stage games are split into six matchdays:
12-13 September: matchday one
26-27 September: matchday two
17-18 October: matchday three
31 October-1 November: matchday four
21-22 November: matchday five
5-6 December: matchday six
